There are many people I talk with today that have their own belief on religious issues, but their view is contrary to what the Bible teaches, They are fully persuaded their view is the correct view because 1) lt has been handed down from generation to generation; 2) the preacher where they attend worship service said so ; 3) God revealed this to them or a member of the family (in a dream) so it must be correct etc.

There is just an example, in God's word, of a man who knew, without a doubt, he was right but indeed was dead wrong.

That man was Saul of Tarsus. In Acts 9th chapter and again in chapter 22 of Acts, we can read about Saul; later named Paul.

Saul went into the High Priest and received letters (orders) to bring back to prison anyone found calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

Saul made havoc of the church and many men and women suffered persecution and even death at the hand of Saul.

One day while Saul was on his way to gather those precious souls that were following Jesus Christ, something incredible happened to him. (Acts 9:5-20) A light shined. A bright light from heaven, so bright that Saul could not see, had to be Led by the hand. And while this light was shining, Saul fell down to the ground like a dead man. Then a voice spoke to him and said Saul, Why persecutest thou me? And Saul inquired who art thou Lord? (Then Jesus answered) I am Jesus whom thou persecutes; it is hard to kick against the pricks.

Then Saul asked, Lord what will you have me do? (And the Lord said) Arise and go into the city and there it will be told what thou must do.

Then the Lord sent a preacher to Saul and told Saul to obey the gospel {Arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.}

Now Paul after receiving his sight, could see that he was wrong corrected his mistakes, obeyed the gospel and became one of the greatest preachers of all time.

We see in Paul's life a repenting heart. Seems to me he couldn't really forgive himself for persecuting the church of the Living God.

Paul was standing firm for the old law of Moses, didn't know Jesus come and died to change that law and give us a new and living way. Although he persecuted the church, in all honesty we can see him apologize all down through his life.

Paul the Apostle was a great man; worked hard for the Lord. I love him more than words can express and look forward to meeting him on the other side. Thank you Brother Paul for all your hard work!

It took a miracle of blindness for Saul to finally see the true light. When he heard the truth he rose immediately and was baptized.

What about YOU? Are you following God's Word or tradition? Are you letting some false preacher take you down the wrong road? Are you afraid of hurting someone's feelings by obeying the gospel?

Why not be just like the Apostle Paul. Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins.

I'll be praying you obey the Lord while time is on your side.
