Doors are amazing things which most of us use without giving them much thought. I go in and out through the bedroom door several times a day, as well as the hall door, the kitchen door, the living room door, the TV room door, and the garage door. Then I enter my automobile by means of a door, after I have pulled it out of the garage through a great big door. I exit my car via the door, and then spend the rest of the day going in and out of doors at the office, or in homes, or at businesses. Could we function well if there were no doors? (You've probably never even thought of that question!).

In the Bible Jesus is called THE DOOR! "Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep" (John 10:7). Just as one enters a house or an automobile by means of a door, so likewise we must enter into Christ's spiritual flock and fellowship with God by means of the door, Jesus Christ. Without entering through Christ, the door, one cannot access fellowship with God and, ultimately, heaven. Jesus, being the door, is the way to God - the way without which no man can even come to the Father (John 14:6).

What if one tries to go some other way? Our Lord addressed that: "...he that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber" (John 10:1).

And what if one shall enter in through Jesus, the door? "/ am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture" (John 10:9). Jesus is describing man's access to salvation: it is by Him, it is available to any man, it Js accessible, certain and saving!

God didn't create man with an intellect and emotion inclined toward serving Satan, but rather man has an inclination toward God, and God has provided the means of access, the provision of fellowship, and the opportunity of salvation, all through the door, Jesus Christ! Man can find fulfillment and purpose, salvation and succor, hope and heaven, through the door!

But - you must enter in. To stay on the outside, refusing to enter into all God's spiritual blessings in Christ (Ephesians 1:3) is to miss what God makes freely available.

So, have YOU been through the door and entered into fellowship with God through Jesus Christ?
