As in the days of Samuel, visions of the Lord are rare these days, and of course, are non-existent in the sense that God speaks directly to His people. What I mean to say is that there are few people with a good God directed vision for the church. Shouldn’t we all stand fervently shaking our fists in the air with truthful passion saying, “I for one am here with a mission from God and a vision to see His work succeed.” Grappling this idea in the heart will move us into a personal level of holiness as god’s own people considering ramifications of sinuously using a material world.

Of all ages, we face severe obstacles today such as a fast for materialism as it is certainly seen to be our custom early on in life, even when a child turns 18, to feet he or she must own their personal new vehicle with amped-up stereos, custom paint jobs, with racing spoilers and chromed rims... or is it the flaunting new format dress, the hottest sandals of the summer... and yes, the list continues with the imagination.  Some wouldn’t dream, of-putting their hard earned money Back into the cause of the family, that’s highway robbery! But keep your heads on straight. Proclaim like Peter, “Lord, we have left everything for you.” Keep your head from spinning and raving over the shelved items white in the Wal-Marts and supercenters. Don’t build your treasures here. Be a good steward of the Lord’s Business and resources. Have that desire to throw out off the things in your life. Crave to be that woman who in the midst of hypocrisy and Phariseeism and outward show employs into god’s service through complete offering all that you have to live on. Does this seem outlandish? What then does it mean to “deny himself” or the words, “whosever will lose his life” so that you may find salvation and actually be able to say “I stood for you my King and used all my talents in recruitment to your cause, barring none!” (Matt 19:27, 16:24f, Mark l2:43) God Bless those who simply through practice slip right past the tug and enticement of a material world with hunger and thirst for the spiritual one!
